Dr Crokes clubman Michael Looney recently won a President's Award for lifetime service to the GAA.
Michael has been part of the Fitzgerald Stadium committee since 1970 and is currently joint-treasurer. His tireless work behind the scenes in the Kingdom had gone largely unrecognised - until now.
Michael was also a brilliant dual player in his own right, lining out for Kerry's footballers and hurlers at minor level. He was also a staunch GAA man during his time in New York.
