The Kerins Brothers won the All-Ireland Masters doubles Handball title in Mullingar in 1977

Paddy Downey, Kerry's most decorated All-Ireland handballer winning 17 All-Ireland senior medals, two All-Ireland junior medals and 34 Munster senior medals.

John Dowling was Kerry's 1955 All Ireland winning Football captain. Paddy Downey and Jimmy O'Brien were All Ireland Handball champions.

Photgraph was taken at Ballypatrick, Co Tipperary in 1956 at the All-Ireland final of the senior softball doubles when Downey and O'Brien beat John Ryan and John Doyle of Wexford.

Jimmy O'Brien, Jimmy 'Murty' McEllistrim and Paddy Downey. O'Brien and Downey won the Senior Softball Doubles and McEllistrim won the Minor Softball Singles.

All-Ireland Handball Champion in 1888, beating John Delaney of Athy, Co. Kildare. The Fitzgerald/Jones Handball Club was named in his honour along with James Fitzgerald.

James Fitzgerald of Gas Terrace, Tralee, became World Handball Champion in 1895 when he defeated John Lawlor of Brooklyn for £100. The Fitzgerald /Jones Handball Club was named in his honour.
